About Nevins Consulting

HISTORY

With a decade of global C-suite leadership experience at Booz Allen Hamilton and Korn/Ferry, Mark Nevins founded Nevins Consulting, Inc. in 2003 to personally serve senior executives by helping them develop their leadership effectiveness, build stronger teams, lead change, and drive superior business results.

Executive coaching was still in its infancy, but Mark believed that the most effective coaches and advisors engage their clients in critical and challenging conversations about how they must transform not only their businesses and organizations, but also themselves.

Today, Nevins Consulting is a boutique firm that works with executives, teams, and organizations to create tailored solutions in the areas of leadership and talent development and team and organizational effectiveness. Our services and solutions range from executive coaching and team alignment to organizational development and bespoke executive and leadership training programs. Mark’s individual practice now focuses on advising CEOs and boards, often at privately held high-growth companies.

Our passion and expertise are to help our clients develop extraordinary leaders, high-functioning teams, and execution-driven organizations. Our clients report improved leadership, increased trust among teams, stronger cultures, and transformations that produce long-term, sustainable results.

The Nevins Consulting team consists of approximately two dozen diverse and highly accomplished executive coaches and consultants whose backgrounds span executive leadership and management roles, strategy consulting, executive coaching, operations and IT management, sales and marketing, change management, organizational design and development, psychology, social work, and academia.

APPROACH

Our clients have always said that what they value most from us, beyond our deep expertise and commitment to measurable results, is that we take the time to understand their unique needs, their particular situation, and their ambitions.

We don’t offer prepackaged solutions. Instead, we collaborate with select clients to solve difficult organizational problems, improve execution, and deliver results.

Typical engagements include:

  • Coaching through critical leadership transitions—internal promotions, external hires, mergers, and other transformational changes—to ensure that executives prosper in their new role

  • Developing high-potential leaders to prepare them for their next role or challenge, including building leadership skills, creating new mindsets, and shedding behaviors that may be holding them back

  • Improving dysfunctional or low-performing executive teams and accelerating the results, effectiveness, and impact of performing teams

  • Elevating enterprise performance and supporting organizational and cultural transformation to make sure change sticks

  • Designing and delivering bespoke executive and leadership training programs that drive talent development and strategic alignment at scale

  • Advising on challenging leadership and talent issues when conventional solutions have failed

At Nevins Consulting, we’re consistently guided by a handful of practices and beliefs:

  • We collaborate with our clients to develop creative solutions that meet their needs exactly. We‘re constantly learning, and we appreciate that no two organizations are alike, so we don’t offer formulaic products or solutions.

  • We know that capabilities such as self-awareness, engaging stakeholders, and fostering dialogue are vital to motivating people and driving results. The soft stuff is the hard stuff.

  • We believe that learning experientially and putting it into practice are critical to changing behavior and improving performance. You can’t learn just by reading about it.

  • We feel that management fads can be counterproductive, and cookie cutter approaches to leadership and organizational development don’t really work.

  • We view complexity, conflict, and risk as natural parts of life, both within and outside business, so we place the highest value on honesty, transparency, and trust.
